Our partner ReSEED - Rescuing seed's heritage - a project of the University of Coimbra - came to the school to explain the origin of several species and how they reached the whole world.
We went to discover the mysteries that we find inside a flower and we tried to find the reason why it is so colorful and smells so good. And, of course, we couldn't help but talk about the biggest pollinator in the world: bees!
This was the day of the presentations. In addition to getting to know the project, all students (2nd and 6th graders) also paid a visit to the future space of the pedagogical garden.
On this day, they challenged us to explore the Lisbon Botanical Garden to find seeds, many of them rare. The botanist Raquel Barata answered all our doubts.
