PADRE BARTOLOMEU DE GUSMÃO SCHOOLS GROUP

After the 25th of April, the former Josefa de Óbidos Industrial and Commercial School was renamed Josefa de Óbidos Secondary School, teaching the 3rd cycle of Basic and Secondary Education. Today is the headquarter of the Padre Bartolomeu de Gusmão Schools Group with students from kindergarten to secondary level.

Engenheiro Ressano Garcia Primary School with Kindergarten was founded in 1911, shortly after the Republic was established, and is, therefore, one of the oldest schools in activity in Lisbon. Currently, like all official schools, it hosts children of its area of influence, which covers two parishes: Campo de Ourique and Estrela.

A.L. BELO CORREIA SEED BANK

The A.L. Belo Correia Seed Bank of the National Museum of Natural History and Science is a conservation and research infrastructure whose main objective is the long-term conservation of Portuguese flora seeds. The priorities are conserving endangered species and implementing the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation in Portugal. The collection is thus insurance against plant extinction in their natural habitat, providing seeds for rehabilitating habitats and re-introducing species or reinforcing their populations. It is also a resource of quality-controlled origin material for scientific research. It is the only national member of ENSCONET-The European Native Seed Conservation Network, a European consortium that brings together 30 seed banks of native species..

MANUEL DA MAIA SCHOOLS GROUP

The Manuel da Maia Technical Elementary School opened in 1962 and became a Preparatory School and a Primary School with 2nd and 3rd cycles. It has been an Integrated Basic School since 2020. Currently, it has about 500 students aged between three and eighteen years.

The Manuel da Maia Group of Schools comprises the following teaching establishments:

- Basic School of 2nd and 3rd cycle Manuel da Maia;

- Primary School 1st cycle with Kindergarten Santo Condestável;

- Primary School 1st Cycle with Kindergarden Vale de Alcântara;

- Primary School with Kindergarten Fernanda de Castro.

The group headquarter at the Manuel da Maia School 2,3 covers the geographical area of Campo de Ourique's parish.

LIVING SEEDS SEEDS VIVAS SA

Sementes Vivas is a 100% organic and biodynamic seeds company, founded in July 2015 and located in Idanha-a-Nova, in central Portugal and since December 2017 in Badajoz, in the region of Estremadura, in Spain. It produces, processes and markets high quality biological and biodynamic seeds, free pollination of vegetables, flowers, herbs, cereals, pseudocereals and green manures.

In addition to the approximately 30 seed multipliers they work with, they have 25 hectares of their own where they also carry out seed multiplication, in accordance with Demeter's biodynamic parameters.

They work closely with some municipalities, universities and other institutions, multiply their traditional seeds, reviving and reintroducing these seeds into agriculture and the market.

AGROECOLOGICAL CARAVAN

The AgroEcological Caravan is a participatory project, facilitated by the research group MITE 2 – CE3C Center for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes, ​of the Faculty of Sciences ​of the University of Lisbon, which, through a set of initiatives, seeks to bring producers, consumers and researchers, based on Agroecology.

The Lisbon Library Network provides a set of face-to-face and online services: consult or request the loan of books, newspapers and magazines, CDs, DVDs, and other documents, attend conferences, debates, shows, and visit exhibitions.
