Activities

Through "Germinar a seed bank" we were able to involve students, teachers, educators from the Padre Bartolomeu de Gusmão School Group and the local community (Parish of Estrela, in Lisbon) in a participatory manner.

Throughout the 2019/2020 school year, the school community attended a series of extracurricular activities, many of them outdoors, having as a motto the importance of seeds to the world.

Together, a space was built inside the Josefa School of Óbidos to germinate the seeds - vegetable garden - strengthening the sense of community and, at the same time, promoting awareness of important environmental issues today.

• restoration of biodiversity in natural and agricultural ecosystems;
• promotion of traditional Portuguese species and varieties;
• promotion of decarbonization;
• promotion of critical consumption and the circular economy (reduce,
  reuse, recycle)

In this space you will be able to see the contents and activities carried out throughout the project with 2nd and 6th year students from the Engenheiro Ressano Garcia and Josefa de Óbidos Schools.
